Allegra or other dog experts???

Allegra, I have you as my resident expert, lol....

Candy was doing so well with the potty training. She peed every time on the pad or outside, and poop we were about 60% of the time. But she has regressed this week. Last night at my mom's she was pooping and peeing everywhere, she is usually even better there then here. Then today she was peeing all over the place. I don't know what to do.

It was almost felt like she was being spiteful for leaving her home three days for so long (funeral/wakes). But it could be just a coincidence.

Any suggestions?

it sounds like she was being spiteful...
it's important to keep being stern with the dog, every time it has an accident to scold it. Otherwise they think it's fine. It's still a puppy so it's going to be 'testing you' for a while.

Are there other dogs at your mom's? When Bailey was a puppy, we saw the same behavior at my parents house, even after she had been potty trained. Our vet said she was sort of marking her territory there, and/or also nervous about the other dogs, whose smells were all over their house.

Yes, but usually she is better there. She is not at all nervous with Cookie who is 14. But she is doing it here too though.

She could be sick. Or she could be being spiteful. Or she could have reached a stage where she ISN'T as comfortable with the other dog/s at your mom's and is acting out. Keep doing everything to make her go on the pad or outside. You should stick to whichever she takes to better. Some dogs like the pad best and some once you show them outside only like to go outside. It's better not to go back and forth once you've figured out what they do best. She'll be fine! Just don't lose hope and keep training and being persistent.
