almost 6 weeks and still no proofs

my wedding day was 5 weeks ago and my photographer still has not gotten all the proofs back from the lab. (I've call the photographer twice)
My dad even asked me yesterday about them.
After we get the proofs how long will it take to get the thank-you's made????

That is very odd. VIP is usually pretty good about this stuff. My suggestion is for you to get your TY cards (without photos for now), write them out and address the envelope. Then all you need to do is add the photos later.
Also, tell VIP you expect a RUSH at no-charge on your TY cards photos.

I am in the same Boat as Amykay,
same photographer VIP and I got married the day before AMY.

Everyone else I have seen post about VIP did not wait this long for proofs, I have called him 3 times the first time the week before Easter he said either later that week or early next week,

then I called last week 2x and left messages both time, he called back on saturday and left me a message saying not ready YET waiting on digital from lab and that they should be in next week, I dont know if that meant this upcoming week or next week.

so hopefully I will get a call early in this week
I am just anxious and cant wait to see pics,

VIP bride here to tell you that it took 5 weeks for my proofs...just so you know you're not alone...
Thank yous were a quick turn around time though, so try not to fret. They are worth the wait!!

I had the opposite...it took 2-3 weeks to get my proofs...but he said the TYs would be days...but it took weeks for those too!!

Keep calling...I think I 'nagged' him...so that may be why I got my proofs quicker? is he on vacation?


Michele's idea is perfect...write them all out...and then just stick the photos in...thats what we did

I think maybe his business has really picked up, which unfortunately may be affecting his turn around time...not making excuses for him, but who knows...good luck and please post once you get them!!!!!!!

It took 4 weeks after our wedding day for us to receive our proofs. We were hoping to receive them after our HM but we had to wait. We got our proofs back and we're still waiting for our albums. Ouir wedding was in August 2002 and Cassarino said it'll be 9-10 months for our albums and enlargements to arrive. So, we're still waiting. Our thank you cards took a lot longer to arrive after the order was placed about 6 weeks. We order it in September and got it back early November since it was custom made like a greeting card. It took 4 weeks for our proofs to arrive, 1-2 weeks to select a photo for our TY card, 6 weeks for our TY card to arrive. Thus, we're waiting for our albums.

I say call the studio to find out when can you expect your proofs. Five weeks for proofs to arrive after your wedding date is a bit too long, IMO.

thank goodness
he called me at 9:30 this morning at work, right after I posted.

so far we are going tomorrow before a communion party we have in Kings Park,
I fgured since we are going out there we can just leave earlier.

anyone know how far kings park is from Port jeff station, approximately.
