Am I retarted for wanting a photo shoot in my wedding dress???

So I have wanted to do a day after shoot since my wedding but everyone says Its stupid :(. Is it too late for us to do this? My dress is not preserved and I would love to do a fun photo shoot in my beautful dress in the spring or summer ( even though I had a December winter wedding. You can tell me the truth I can take it. Is this retarted????

Well if it's retarded then so am I...except i already cleaned my dress...which probably doesn't fit anymore anyway...i say go for it!

I think its awesome! i want to do it either this summer or next summer, and I had a winter wedding also! .. its never too late!

i sooooo want to do this, so I guess were both retarded

but i want to do totally fun shoots stuff I wouldn't have done on my wedding day.. Sort like kittythestray she had an amazing day after shoot

I say go for it -- I think I'd do it too!! Think of all the great shots you can get from that photo shoot--all the photos you wouldn't risk taking on your actual wedding in case of ruining the dress. What do you have to lose? nothing

hey stace! DH & i are doing this for our anniversary next year...we're gonna do it in the fall - just havent decided on the photographer yet. The first half of the pics are gonna be really natural soft makeup/hair & very romantic......then i'm gonna totally punk myself out with crazy mac makeup, crazy couture hair & do some really edgy shots. can't wait! i totally feel u on this....besides - i love my freakin' dress...i feel like i didn't really get a lot of photos of it the day of & i want some hardcore portraits before it gets preserved & shut in box! Dh thinks its a cool idea too u're not alone on this one!

duh I just realized you got married not long after me!! Not at all retarded!

I want some more pics , some things didn't go to plan on my wedding day and Vin and I didnt get a chance to get enough pics ( thats a whole other thread) I should say enough pics of us together- love the ones we have but think i need more. Not a fault of the photographers but we were in a serious time crunch from the ceremony on, service started late from previous wedding, family insisted on family shots instead of vin and I having 'our' time, etc..... While we have great shots I want more so once I fit into my dress again () I will do this. I hope I just don't look too different than I did 2 years ago!!!! (besides the weight thing)

nope - but i told DH to make it my anniversary present ...and since he thinks it's actually a cool idea lol - it's kind of a gift to ourselves i'm gonna start looking into it soon because i know good photographers book up fast...i'll let u know when i start collecting serious info & u do the same!

definitely NOT!!! i would totally do it!!! who cares what everyone says? they're just jealous cause they didn't think of it/can't do it...i would totally do it and not regret it one bit!!!

I'm not a fan of it- only because I feel that the wedding day (wearing the dres, etc.) is something that should only happen once and I have other things to spend my money on.

But, I don't think you're retardedfor wanting to do it. Many girls have had GORGEOUS day after shots. So although its not for me- I say go for it if it will make you happy.
