American Idol- admit it you watch it

American Idol- admit it you watch it

So this is my totally unimportant to the World vent. Why do these people trash the judges? You are auditioning! People get rejected everyday in Show Biz. That is why 99.9% of SAG members are not Movie Stars.
Simon even complimented one of the girls last night but said that she picked a song that was too old for her. And you know, he was right. Then she says, 'I disagree. It's a song about the children of the World' Okay, you are 18. The song is too old for you.
If you want to be a STAR, LISTEN and LEARN from industry people. I think the attitudes totally turn me off from those kids. Every week people complain that Simon is mean. No he isn't he is telling you something. When Vanessa was told to lose some weight, people freaked. And she said 'it works for J Lo' Hum. Hello J Lo is like a size 4, her butt is not big and she can wear a skimpy dress and look good in it. (and I am not even a J Lo fan). Vanessa does not have a J Lo body. So say, 'Okay. You are the record producer. You might know a little bit more than I do'
Anyway, just sharing a vent on a very non-important issue. But I thought maybe other people were thinking the same thing.

I admit it I watch it and I COULD NOT stand the attitudes of those girls last night going back at the judges. I also hate when the judges egg them on as well. But come on, who cares if Simon or Randy can't sing...you are being judged!! I hate that 'I'm all that' attitude....everyone irked me last night except Josh and Corey. God help the Children if Juanita sings like that to them, LOL!!!

I have never watched American Idol, but you don't really have to 'tune in' to know who Simon is! Actually, I did see him on Oprah the other day.
And, I totally agree with you Michele...performance is 99.99% appearance and you've got to 'sell' what you are doing. Simon is not mean, he's frank and brutally honest. And in showbiz, you've got to be thankful to someone who is willing to tell you the TRUTH!

I watch it, Michelle. And I have the same issue with this season. Simon can barely get a sentence out of his mouth before the contestants are telling him that they disagree and he doesn't know what he is talking about. I hope none of those people make it through. I was bent Kimberly made it to the top ten for her little outburst. Simon is harsh, but a lot of the time he is correct. That girl who sang her song for the children of the world, was not very good. Despite what she thinks. I think most of those kids could really improve if they really listened to the judges instead of acting like they are God's gift to the recording industry.

I loved when that one girl responded to Randy's 'do you even know who I am' question with 'no, do you know who I am.' The judge bashing is getting out of hand.

I watched it last night and it was bad!!! except for 2 guys. Everyone else seem to have an attitude problem when correction was given

I completly agree with everyone. Shamma you are so right. If we are thinking of the same two guys, they were the only ones who were even worth listening to.

Last night was the worst. Thank goodness this part of it is over. I was beginning to think I need a new show to look at.

I knew it. All of my LIW thought what I did. Cut the attitute and you might learn something that will improve her voice/apperance/chances at a career. In all honestly Brittany Spears is no Aertha yet she listens to the right people and therefore became very successful. I felt a bit bad for the blonde girl, she is very young and picked a totally bad song for her voice and was crying. She is really beautiful (in the traditional blonde hair/blue eyed way) but she wants to be a singer. Seeing her 'true' heartbreak was sad. The others were all attitude, and have a lot to learn.
I feel the same way when women go on Howard Stern and say 'I want to be in Playboy'. My God Women, look at yourself in the mirror first. Don't cry when someone says 'you aren't playboy material'. You asked the question.

American Idol was so bad yesterday ... Shamma hit it right ... Josh and Corey were the only ones worth listening to! And Michele .. the attitudes turn me off .. I understand that it may be hard to receive negative criticism ... but these kids put themseleves out there and asked for it!!! Sometimes I think Simon is to harsh though ... like that comment he made to that girl about her weight! Kelly Clarkson wasn't a stick either!!!

They were talking about this on the radio this morning - the contestants have started to realize that when people vote on who moves on - they tend to vote for those who give the judges attitude. I guess it makes for entertaining TV!! So everyone is now pushing the envelope.

I think Simon is honest and these kids (I say kids because some of them are no more than 22!) can't handle it. Can you imagine if you went into a job interview and said what do you mean I don't qualify? Who are YOU to tell me that?!

Michele, I totally agree with you. Simon is not mean at all, he is honest plain and simple. When you ask for an appraisal, you should be ready and willing to hear an honest one. Anything less is a disservice to everyone involved.
BTW I also can't help but roll my eyes when I hear the women on Howard Stern cry because he tells them they aren't Playboy material - it makes me wonder what kind of reality these people are living in

Im probably one of the people that actually likes Simon. He tells it like it is and doenst sugar coat it and yes last night was awful. The only one I really liked was the Marine (cant remember his name). Cant wait to see it tonight!!

Re: American Idol- admit it you watch it

The first girl her weave was too big for her little head and she did have bad pronounciation. No one in my church sings like that The over singing does not work at all

The rock and roll guy does not belong in this show at all, he needs to be in a group or something.

I watched it last night, and almost posted about the same thing. Why do these girls fight with the judges? Its irritating. They don't have to agree with what they say but can't they show a little respect?

Re: American Idol- admit it you watch it

Shamma, you made me laugh with that girl over pronunciating things DID N WE ALMOST HAVE IT ALL....

And that rocker dude, give me a break with the 'rock on' hands....I need that little smiley that girls post on here....
