An idea for a GTG

I'm not sure if you girls would be into this, or even care...

I've noticed since my shower that I registered for several things that I do NOT use, and I probably never will... and I've actually grown to hate these items when I see them sitting unused or used once in my cabinet... I despise them!

You probably have an item or two like this, no?

What if there was some sort of NW shower swap? Everyone brings the items that they don't think they'll use and there can be item trading. Just an idea. God I hate my kitchenaid pasta roller.

Is the KA pasta roller the one that goes on the mixer?

i havent even used half of my stuff to know if i like/dislike yet. Its in my storage cubbies b/c i have no room for it.

I really like this idea! I have so many items that do the same thing that are just taking up room in my cabinets

I'm not sure about the details... like I'd hate to give a way $150 pasta roller and get a spoon in return, but maybe we can work something out...

hmm.... i dont really have much that i would want to give away to be honest

now if were talking about beauty items (like shampoo, cond., hair clips, hair products) we'd be in buisness!!!

That sounds like a GREAT idea. I have 2 slow cookers that I will never use. (I dont even know what to make in them) that I would love to swap.

True, it may involve someone compiling a list of certain values and making people wear different color stickers signifying different value levels so u know who to trade w/ LOL

Hm, like an LIW flea market maybe... we could even do other genres of items, not necessarily just household. I have some coach & dooney bags that I could swap.

Does anyone have a big basement that we could set up some tables or something?

Or another idea (I know, I'm lame) is that we could actually make it like a flea market, and actually charge $$ for the items, and then make on big donation to a charity in the name of the NW's. Just an idea.

Or we can just swap appliances and handbags. Either way.
