An update on DH

Hey ladies,

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was thinking of us over the last week or so! I really appreciate it. And it meant so much to hear all the kind words from everyone. It's been really tough, but DH is actually doing pretty well all things considering. We've done a lot of crying and talking, and everything, but since Wednesday he's been better and better every day. It's hard to lose a parent, even when you don't have a good relationship (for him I think the hardest part is coming to terms with the fact that they'll never have a relationship and trying to understand why his dad was such a jerk for such a long time), but I think he's going to be ok.

But on the other side of things, this has led to him burrying the hatchet with his aunt (and possibly his grandpa) and has brought the whole family closer together. So hopefully that sticks, because DH definitely needs them.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. And I honestly don't think things will ever be really healed until we at least have kids. I think that will fill part of the hole in his heart, ya know? But we're not rushing that, 4 years at least.

Well thank God he has a wonderful wife to lean on at this difficult time. I hope in his heart he can work out his questions as to why. Glad he is doing better.
