My fiancee and I are getting marrried in December 2004. We have visited about 13 places and have narrowed our choices down to three. We like John Anthony's, the Fox Hollow and the North Ritz. Our wedding size is going to be about 150. Any comments, experiences, suggestions would be appreciated!

Re: AND THEN THERE WERE THREE........
We had our reception at John Anthony's in Sept. 2001, and truly loved the place!! Everything was amazing .. except for the rain!
The food is outstanding .. all of it!! The service was wonderful .. so helpful, especially during the planning .. I can't tell you how many times we just dropped in on them when we were in the area to show people 'our place' .. and they always were so curteous! We felt we got so much bang for our buck .. and really couldn't imagine what more we could have gotten from a more expensive place.
Much of what we booked for our wedding was done with just the first visit .. flowers, photographer .. but John Anthony's was the first first! The day we went down there, we were just going to drive by to see the location and views, but I loved it so much, I insisted we go in and see about getting an inside look .. and I just knew it was the place for us! We had a date with them before we knew our church was available .. luckily it was, and we were on our way!
So, as you can see, I was a more than satisfied John Anthony's bride .. and hubby really loved it too ... and he can sometime be more critical than me, and this was one of those cases .. so him saying he loved it really means a lot!
Good Luck .. and if you have any questions, concerns .. you can email me at:
Speaking of concerns .. with John Anthony's, I was concerned about only having the bathroom on the main floor for our guests .. but that was fine. And I was concerned about the change-over in the upstairs room .. which was the one we booked. It is used for a cocktail hour for the couple who books the downstairs reception, then in a half-hour it is transformed into a reception for the couple using that upstairs room .. there is no problem with that at all!! They are great!

Re: AND THEN THERE WERE THREE........
Just wanted to add, that because of the rain, our outdoor pictures were canceled, and our bridal party got to JA's so much earlier than they were supposed to .. but they all told me how JA's took great care of them .. brought 'em to the bridal suite .. had food out for them and everything .. plus, we had guests who also arrived early .. and they too were taken care of!

Re: AND THEN THERE WERE THREE........
We had our reception at the Fox Hollow and they were GREAT ! The food, service and atmosphere of the whole place was wonderful, we keep hearing compliments from the guests about how good the food was and how much fun they had. Their grounds are beautiful as well, but we got married in Nov, and it was too cold and windy for outdoor pictures. We had 230 people and had the cocktail hour in the Briar Fox room and the reception in the Garden Terrace room. Personally I think there 2 most beautiful rooms are the Winter Pavillion and Garden Terrace, but with 150 people that would fit the Brair Fox room, which was the only one without lots of windows and seemed kinda dark to me. IMHO. But others might really like the look of it.
As for great food and perfect service, I can not really complain at all!.....FM me if you have any questions! Good Luck!
