Angry vent about subway!

Angry vent about subway!

Ok, so this morning I got to work at 11am instead of 9:30!

Some idiot got hit (read: jumped under) the train at my subway station! They were giving people bus comps but there was no bus in site! Then one showed up 20 minutes later, but it was packed! So, finally people started collaborating and sharing cabs! There were so many people and not enough cabs! Finally, I got a cab with 2 guys and another girls. She was running late for her calculus final! I really hope she made it! Imagin! Like taking a caculus test is not stresfull enough, she had to deal this mess!

I mean, if someone wants to kill himself , that's just fine with me, but please, don't do it during the morning rush hour! And the thing is, that's when it always happens! Why can't they wait till afternoon!

'I wanna kill myself today, I think I'll jump under a train! What time is it? 8:30AM. Hmm. Maybe if I leave in 15 minutes I can catch a rush hour train so I'm not late for my own funeral!'.

I'm sorry, this totally ****s for you, but how much does it **** for the guy! Something is telling me he wasn't thinking of the time when he decided to throw himself under 2 tons of hot steel.

Yeah! I got late for work that day too! I went to Forrest Hills ... and the chaos was horrible. I got to go to the 7 train, that of course was not running express either ... hate when people do that

FYI...saw this in the Daily News this morning.

Teardrops for woman train killed

By FERNANDA SANTOS
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

The cop knocked on the door, but no one answered at Maria Bacic's home Wednesday night.
He then approached neighbor Giacoma Badalamenti and asked if she knew the woman in the photograph he held.

'Maria is dead! My best friend is dead!' Badalamenti, 67, cried, her gaze resting on the picture of Bacic's body lying lifeless on the subway tracks.

Bacic, 60, who moved from Croatia to New York 40 years ago, died Wednesday, crushed by the Manhattan-bound No. 7 train at the Main St. station in Flushing, Queens.

What caused her to fall on the tracks remains a mystery. Police do not believe anyone pushed Bacic, described as a happy, healthy grandmother with no reason to take her own life.

'She could pick up boulders,' neighbor Joy Lazar said yesterday. 'She was a strong lady, and that's why this is so freaky. It just doesn't make sense.'

When she was not tending the flowers she planted in her manicured front yard, Bacic likely would be doting on her two granddaughters, whom she watched during the day.

As soon as the girls went home, Lazar said, Bacic would catch the subway to Manhattan, where she worked cleaning offices in midtown.

Her husband, Miro, a retired cab driver, traveled to Croatia last month to prepare for the family's annual summer vacation. Bacic told neighbors that she, her daughters and grandchildren would soon join him for a two-week getaway.

'The trip was all she talked about lately,' said Badalamenti's husband, Vincent, 72. 'It hurts to remember how much she looked forward to it.'

Miro and Maria Bacic had lived together on 163rd St. in Whitestone for 18 years. Their youngest daughter, Jennifer, lived with them. Carol, the oldest, lives with her two daughters four blocks away.

It was there the that Bacics gathered yesterday, on a quiet block just off the Clearview Expressway. 'It's too fresh, too soon,' is all a relative would say.

A woman's wails then mixed with the sound of a barking dog that ran loose on the backyard.

Now, how does somethign like that happen? Was she trying to see if the train is coming and just fell in on the tracks?
