Animal Lovers..........Please Help

Hello ladies....

2 days ago as I was walking my dog....
A cat bumped into him... she was meowing and followed us home

My Dog is a 110lb mush and he lives with 3 cats....

I went upstairs and brought down a can of cat food......

When I turned on the lights in front of my house I noticed that the cat had his eyes clouded over....

I took him and put him in the garage of our house with a litter box and food and water...

Yesterday I took him to the vet to get him some cream or drops for his eyes and she said it was to late he is BLIND ... and there is nothing to be done about it...

She said he was born with an infection and that it went untreated for too long she said he is 6-8 months.

I have 3 cats and 1 dog ....

I do not want to take him anywhere because honestly here in NYC the shelters are full of healthy and young kittens and cats that are put to sleep I am sure that he doesnt have a chance...

He is so happy in the garage and I would never dream of evicting him but in the same time I want better for him....

I have begged DH to let me keep him but at this point with 3 cats and a dog...

I can understand his NO....

He feels bad for him to but we have a lot on our plate....

Do you have any recommendations or do you know anyone who would love him and give him a forever home.....

He is so friendly.......

I would pay to have him neutered and for all his shots....

Please help

Poor little guy. I wish i could help ..but our plate is full with 2 big dogs and 4 cats right now. But i do have a lot of contacts for TNR who find homes for kitties. I will make some calls and write some emails ASAP. There are a lot of people who only take cats with medical issues cause they know how hard it is for them for find homes..and he's still fairly young. There are also some shelters by me who are no-kill .... i'll get to work!!! Good luck...and god bless for helping him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a shelter in Elmsford NY that has a no-kill policy.
I took some kittens there years ago because I could not find homes for them and I also had cats already. All I had to do was give a donation.
The kittens were adopted that same day.

Oh I am so so sad...but he is lucky he bumped into you!!
DH and I have 3 cats and he will not let me take in another one... even though I would adopt four more if I could!!! I love cats

I'm sorry, I feel silly I don't have any advice other than try advertising on craigslist (it's free) but I wish him (and you) all the best...
