Oh, great Shamma
I will gladly share, here goes it. This I wrote especially for Shamma and Roger to be read at their wedding ceremony. At this point I had met Roger yet, but Shamma and I had become close and I could feel I had a sense of what a wonderful, loving relationship they had. .. (OK, no more mushiness) Here you go:
CHARMAINE AND ROGER - THE BEAUTY OF LOVE
We know how beautiful love should be.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 tells us:
'Love is patient; love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.'
It’s a wonderful thing when we find someone
with whom we could share this type of Love.
That’s what brings us here today.
Charmaine and Roger have found each other
And in each other, have found the other half to their souls.
Their hearts have been filled with a love so radiant
that the light of that love shines from within and is evidenced by all.
In their love, they have found extraordinary happiness,
and have been led on an exquisite romance.
When you see that sparkle in Roger’s eyes,
you know it’s Charmaine’s love that sparked the gleam.
When you see Charmaine’s enchanting smile,
you know it’s Roger’s love that inspired her charm.
When you see them walking hand in hand,
it is clear they are on the path to everlasting ecstasy.
Today, as Charmaine and Roger profess their love before God,
they start a new beginning.
May they continue on their path of true love & happiness,
and may their hearts and souls be united as one forever.
