Anniversary -- Help!

Anniversary -- Help!

Our anniversary is on Monday - the 17th. We wanted to go to Chateau Briand (where we got married) for dinner but we just found out it's closed!

Anyone recommend another place - in LI or Manhattan?

Also any ideas for a gift?? We said we wouldn't spend a lot because we just bought a plasma as a wedding gift to ourselves.....

How did some of you guys incorporate 'Paper' in your anniversary??

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

What kind of food are you looking for? How much $$ do you have to spend on dinner?

Hmmm..paper. What about giving him a nice photo of the two you framed? (doesnt get much cheaper than that). Or maybe a love letter talking about the first year of your marriage? Hmm...must think.

La Pace is a great restaurant in Glen Cove.
I don't know if they are open on Monday's.

I think a beautiful card or a picture in a frame would be a great gift.

Definitely some good ideas...keep 'em coming!
My DH is a meat and potato guy... so nothing too fancy for him. I guess somewhere around
$150 - $200 for the two of us...

What about that steak place in the EAB bldg in Uniondale?
There is a great Brazilian restaurant on RT 110 in Melville/Farmingdale area called Greenfields. We go there a couple of times a year. They have a big salad bar you can help yourself with and they come around to the table constantly with all different types of meat. Its a great place but not a romantic place.

Re: Anniversary -- Help!

I just had dinner at Rothmann's in East Norwhich last night (Thursday) and it was awesome. The steak was like butta'! If your man likes meat and potatoes (as my little Irish love does), you will love it. It's upscale- we spent about $200 for 2 but we also bought a $50 bottle of wine to go with our meal
It's right off of route 106/107.
Happy eating
