Why is it that everyone (the general public, people i work with, friends, family) feels the need to ask me if i am pregnant? Just because I have a cold/virus or something of the sort and am not feeling well does not mean I am pregnant!!!! Why do ppl think it is ok to ask this anyway? I have cold symptoms sore throat, sneezing, coughing, does that mean I am pregnant? NO!! We have been married for a month. It is really annoying. Sorry for the vent, does this happen to everyone?

I had that so many times and still have it. It is a pain in the booty and a very personal question.

Re: Annoyed
people's lives are boring so they need to have something to talk about to make it interesting..... ex, maybe she is pregnant he is cheating on her she is leaving him her brother is in jail maybe he does drugs, etc.......
dont get me wrong this does not make it right... and i know its annoying but you should be flattered they want to talk about you

ha! My mother ALWAYS asked my sister that whenever she felt ill after getting married. She would get sooo mad! So far, she hasn't asked ME though. In fact, nobody has since I'm not living at home. I'm too far for people to know when I am not feeling well. But that WOULD DEFINITELY annoy me.

Re: Annoyed
I get that a lot and for awhile I've been taking new meds that had made my stomach hurt....so once I was complaining my stomach hurt and must've rubbed my belly and I IMMEDIATELY got asked that question!! I didn't want to get into my personal health problems so I just shot back, No! Are you? I even just flat out told someone who KEPT asking more than likely to be just to be annoying, rude, and a gossip that I find the question rude and extremely personal! We were BOTH shocked that I actually said it!

I posted and it's not here.
Good for you! I agree! I've never asked anyone that. When, and if I am, I will let people know.

I may be hypoglycemic, so I get those remarks. If I don't eat for awhile, I start dry heaving. I am suppose to have 6 small meals a day. I also have delayed gastric emptying. I have a lot of stomach issues, being nauseous isn't unusual for me. Yet, people look at me like, maybe The flu sounds very dumb to give those answers. You need to come up with a nasty comeback-like yeah and it is a snot i am going to name after you

oh god i get the same thing from my boss at work. From now on, I can never just have a stomach ache. No, it can not be something I ate - I must always be pregnant. God forbid if I say 'I am really in the mood for ice cream, or something else' - because then too, I must be pregnant. I am pregnant if I am tired, I am pregnant if I am hungry, if I pee too many times at work. You name it, the pregnancy comments come flying out of his mouth. its just plain annoying.
