ANNOYED w. APPOINTMENTS!

VENTING...
BUT WHY can't the sprinkler guys SHOW UP when they are expected!!!

I scheduled for their dumb 'morning slot' 8-12, called to get the time this morning and they tell me they can't come in the morning...that it will be a PM call. Which had me furious because I had a doctor appt this afternoon...so I RACE home because they tell me 3:30 and they JUST called (5:00) to tell me another HOUR!

SO ANNOYING! I mean - I took a DAY OFF for this!

Jenny your sprinkler guy sounds like my hot tub guy. The exact same thing happened to me!!! I had a 9-1 appt time. He called me at 1:45 to tell me he would be here by 3 and then didn't show up til 4:15!!! Then when he came back to put in the repaired part I waited all day and he never showed up. When I called his office at 4:30 the girl in the office said she was just going to call me, that he was stuck out east!!!! Just going to call me at 4:30????????????? I was livid. I told her that if I was not the first appointment the next day I was going to charge them for my time!!!! They act like you have nothing better to do than wait all day for them to get to you!!!

Oh yeah..I was the very first appointment the next day and the owner came and did my job. He apologized like crazy and took $50.00 of my bill for the trouble!!

Oh my gosh!! I know how you guys feel .. and good for you Wendy for getting the 1st appointment and $50 off along with the apologies.

When I had trouble with the dining room table from Huffman Koos, every time I had to make a new appointment for a new table (they kept coming damaged) .. they kept trying to give me a range in delivery time .. and I can't tell you how unsympathetic to the situation they all were .. totally unbelievable!!


Even when I battled and won to be the very first delivery, they still made me very late for work .. and this was all after I had already lost a week of vacation time for that lousy table!! I hate that store, their delivery service, their customer service .. it's all completely awful. So many businesses just want your money, and don't care about reputation.

Just wanted to add .. you should absolutely make sure they know you took the day off for this.

The guy didn’t show up until 7:00 – WITH AN ATTITUDE THAT HE SHOULD HAVE LEFT IN THE VAN….

And proceeded to tell me that he 'needed a part' because our 'system is so old' (insulting…I mean yes it’s old….but it still works and I am not going to spend $5,000 or whatever it costs to dig up the whole yard if the thing is still workable) – and that he has to ask his boss who is gone for the day!!!!!

Needless to say, I am calling this morning and demanding an 8:00 am appointment before the week is out. UGH.

that sounds like out TV guy....we had an appointment on December 12 between 9-12....I called at 1 to find out where he is...I was told he is running late...he will be there by 3pm...another call at 4...he works until 6...he will be there.......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....we are STILL waiting for him to show up!!!!
