OK, so I just watched the you tube footage of Brittney's comeback performance because everybody was loving the song so much and I was curious. I can't believe the media is calling her fat! She has more meat on her bones than in past performances, but she has two kids! I think she looks healthy (well, her physique looks healthy) and I hope I can look like that after I have two kids.
I am annoyed, not because it is Brittney, but because there are so many young women (and girls) who are going to hear the word fat connected with that image and have serious problems.
On another note, I can see why you girls are addicted to the song.

OMG - I said the same thing to my DH. By calling her fat, the media is promoting distorted body images and eating disorders. People kept calling her thick and I was like what are they talking about?!?

I had heard so much about this performance, that i was expecting to see jiggling, cellulite, stretch marks, pot belly etc. Nope. Her body is muscular and nothing jiggled. I understand that she is 'thicker' than she used to be, but not overweight at all.

well i guess according to the media I would be morbidly obese then! hahah...it is rediculous what they consider 'beautiful'...

I agree, I think she has more weight then prior performances but that by no means makes her fat

I honestly think they wouldn't have picked on her weight if she didn't slosh around the stage like she was 1/2 sedated..... to me, she looked much better than before... she had curves, but not in an unattractive way..... it's just that 'curves' don't come off as being healthy if you're high
