another awkward christmas gift question

My godmother and her husband have always sent me gifts for Christmas, birthdays, my wedding, etc. However, last year, they couldn't afford to send anyone gifts, so they didn't. I still sent them something though, because like I said, she is my godmother and has always treated me well.

Anyway, I am under the impression that they are not doing gifts again this year. Obviously, I don't mind sending one at all. However, is it awkward if I do?

I NEVER know what to do in this situations. I want to be respectful and send a gift for all that she has done for me in the past, but at the same time, I don't want to put her in an awkward spot.

Anyone notice that I wait until the last minute for Christmas shopping? Every year.

send something small. and send it to the household (not just her)...maybe even flowers for the house or an edible arrangement

i feel you on this. my godmother ALWAYS sends us cards/gifts. and only until recently have i been sending her things and not just adding my name to my mom's cards/gifts. i dont mind

So I think a small 'token' gift would be appropriate...I'm gonna go with ornament again! Something thoughtful but nothing too pricey....more of an 'i'm thinking of you this time of year' gift....


and PS - This is SO not last minute girlfriend....you're good to go!
