another booooze question!

Red Wine drinkers,

I am having a cocktail party for about 20 guests and need to get some red wine (i only drink white). I want to buy the big bottles and they usually only come as Cabernet, or Merlot...

menu includes...

Rice Balls
Spinach & Artichoke Dip
Sweedish meatballs
Spanakopita
Finger food things(like the frozen ones)
Bakes Ziti
Chicken Poppers
Veggie platter
Chips & Dip
Cheese & Crackers
Salad (either spinach or taco not sure yet)
assorted olive tray

Help which should I get?

Re: another booooze question!

I'm not a red drinker, but Merlot is usually a good guess.

Re: another booooze question!

Yellowtail makes an excellent Shiraz in the big bottle and it's sooo inexpensive!!! It's kinda like the only red I really like!

Re: another booooze question!

I usally only drink White (Santa Margherits or Staggs) but if i have a red i prefer a Merlot. I like Corvo. Its not expensive at all. Not sure if its in abig bottle
