I'm sorry Ladies, I am sure this question was posted before but........


To those ladies who already changed their names.

Did S.S. or D.M.V. need a copy of your Marriage license. to keep, or did they just look at you marriage license. I thought they needed an Offical copy from Town Hall.

I sent in for copies back in May & still havn't gotten them, I have to call them again.

I was wondering, if I could speed up the process. I am getting sh*t for it, from my DH & his family.

Any Idea my friends...

SS and the DMV just looked at my license. They didn't keep it! But mine was my original that I got in the mail!

I just showed them my original copy. It was very simple.

I have my oringinal I thought they needed an official copy of it.

They just look at it and hand it back to you, they don't keep it!!!!!
