ANOTHER Thank you card question...

ANOTHER Thank you card question...

Okay, I am SO close to the finish line! The only ones I have left are the 'difficult' cards. These are the cards I do not know how to word properly. If a couple was invited and one person came but the other could not, how do you word it? Do you just say a general thank you for coming or do you make a special 'shout-out' to the person who could not come and say sorry they could not be there? My writing space is kind of limited so I don't know how to properly word it in a few lines!

We had this happen. The husband had to work and the wife came.

Dear ___ & ____,

We would like to say thank you to both of you for your very generous gift. It is greatly appreciated and we plan to save it for something special in the future.

____, thank you so much for attending our wedding and being a part of our special day. We had an amazing day and we're so glad you were a part of it. ____, we are sorry you were unable to attend but we understand.

Thank you again for your generosity.

Love,
____ & ____
