Another TY card question

How long does it take to get them made up and how long after your wedding did you send yours/planning on sending them?

we chose our pic for the TY card right away and had the cards 2 weeks later, then we had them out at the 3 month mark

we got our CD with our proofs from our photog about 4 weeks after the wedding, then i chose a pic and used snapfish to make the thank you cards. they arrived really quickly and i had the cards out the last week of June.

prob the 3 month mark...
they gave me the cards and envelopes before that tho, so if i wanted to write them all out and address the envelopes before i could quickly send them out when i got the pictures...lol i didnt do that tho!

I chose my picture last week, and they told me it should take about 2 weeks for them to come in.

Edited - I just got a call that mine are ready for pickup! I'll be picking them up today

i didnt get them through my photog....i ordered them on shutterfly so it was realyl quick once i actually sat and did it.

i am in the process of writing mine now so i am hoping to get them out before the end of this month which would be the 3 mth mark.

Our proofs where on-line for us to view 2 days after the wedding. We picked the TY picture end of May, recieved the TY cards mid-June & I sent them out this week. We where married 79 days when I sent the TYs out.

Did any of your photographers give you a timelimit on when it had to be done..like say, after you got your proofs, you had a month or whatever to come back and place the order for your albums and thank you cards? I'm kind of annoyed bc they told us would have our proofs 2 weeks after the wedding. We just got them 2 weeks ago. The photographer can't meet with us on the weekends and the latest they are there during the week is 5 and they refuse to stay past 5? I'm not even out of work by then and can't take any more days off. I won't be working come September so we booked to meet with them then. I feel like it's soo far away and the TYs won't be going out until 4 months after. They actually charge you extra money if you don't come back within the month after that you picked up your proofs. But because I work they're not charging us any money...

We have to have our album meeting within three months from the wedding or they charge us an extra $25 per month. I've already picked out my choices for my album, I'm just waiting for all the parents to pick now.

ETA: Don't worry about the thank yous going out late......I just got a Thank You card in April for a wedding from last July

we made ours through snapfsh..got them in like 2 weeks..and had them out by december
