Also with the BR dress I posted...I am sure any good tailor could make it into a V-Neck.

Sassy - I think it was $128.00 and I'm not sure if it came in other colors but it's on their website!

The dress from BR is $148 but Ive called a few BRs and none of them have it out yet (or so they say). Must call back next week.

Having a dress made is going to cost me in the $400 range so that is out. But isnt it lovely?? (drooling)

You can always have that other dress made into a v-necy, and remove the flower, and make it to fit like a necklace.

$400 the dress doesnlt look all that hard to make. What if you buy the materials?

I called around to friends who have had BM dresses made. Its usually about $300 plus materials...so $400.

If I 'knew' someone who did non bridal work, maybe i could find it for less but I dont know anyone that can do more than a hem.

Alina: You would think, right? But actually no b/c that was just as aggravating a process. Trust me when I say that I looked everywhere for my dress. I tried on a LOT!

Stef, I still remember you asking me to ask Karin about making the dress. Perhaps if you send her the picture, she'll actually reply this time? I loved the way she did alterations, and was patient with me... But then again, she charged me more for alterations that you're getting quoted for having a dress made (LOL)

Im sure you are all sick to death of hearing about this but I went to BR today to try on that cream dress. Beautiful in that photo, gross in person. I even tried it on just to make sure it wasnt one of those dresses that look bad on the hanger..nope it looks bad on me too.

I have a great dressmaker in Hoboken. (Very easy to get to by bus from the prot authority)You can send her the pic and she will give you a price. She is reasonable compared to others I have seen.
