Any coworkers or others guilting you for not inviting them?

Any coworkers or others guilting you for not inviting them?

I think this is just SO LAME.

There's a girl at work....she's obsessed with cliques. She doesn't feel a part of what she considers the big clique so she deliberately tries to recruit more for her own. She tried to s uck me in but I refused. Anyway, we do have a project we work on together and she'd ask me to hang out- I think I went out a few times, but I could trust her as far as I could throw her.

Anyway, I KNEW it was gonna be a problem if I didn't invite her. First day of school, she blatantly avoids me. I ask her how he's doing, she says she's fine and walks away. After a whole summer you have nothing to say to me, when just a few months ago you were all pally with me? And hello, we work together every winter on this thing! So you gotta be nice to me!

LAME. I've known you all of 8 months and hardly hang out with you. She hasn't even said congratulations or asked anything about it.

I do have another friend who I just got back in touch with - we fell out of email touch and just forgot to tell her when the wedding was (didn't plan on inviting her). She writes me, and I tell her we're married. She hasn't returned the email. This one I feel bad about though.

Anyone else have stories to share?

Are you SURE that this behavior is really over your wedding? It could be something else entirely.

Trust me- it is. She did the exact same thing to the girl who got married last year!!! She's notorious for running hot and cold with people.

Tara, our invites went out the other day-I have way too many people to begin with and FH and I have to pay for our own guests. So, since I am no Rockefeller, I chose to invite only those I am close with.

I am getting a weird attitude today from some people though...you know, people who normally don't talk to me!

Figures. People are so weird.

I would guess more people would have these reactions as the invites are going out- not after the wedding. Might explain the lack of responses.

Yes, you are lucky

Most people were smart enough not to mention the invites, but some people just mentioned it in passing, and some people are just catty!

OMG....that is totally rediculous. Nobody from a job, unless they are very close to you should 'expect' to be invited. Its absurd!

The reason that she hasn't congratulated you yet is b/c she is jealous.

And that is totally the type she is. So lame. That's why I didn't invite her after all! It's just really lame especially because we have to work so close together in a few months. Get over it! She still pulls the same thing with the other girl who got married last year- she guilted her because they had gone to high school together - a few years apart but they weren't even great friends!
