Any recommendations on good pot/pan set?

I am not a newly wed, bnut I thought that maybe you would have better advice with this. I am registering and I already have a tools of the trade pot set but I wanted to take this opportunity to get a better set. I originally registered for a 12 piece Circulon set but then I heard and I agree that the ridges are very hard to clean. Does anyone have Analon? Or can you recommend any sets and tell me where you got it. Thank you!

We have a nonstick and stainless set-- we love our circulon set--Price Club/Costco has the set for a great price--as for the cleaning i am not sure what you are referring to--my husband cooks for a hobby and he loves them
Hope that helps

Cleaning the Groves

Thanks Laura. The epinions website is really good. If you ever want to buy something you can see everyone's opinions and ratings on it. A few people said that the groves in the bottoms of the pans were hard to clean. When I saw them, I understood what they meant. Don't yours have grooves in them? I'm sure they are very good - especially for people who love to cook but I Hate washing dishes and that scared me away.

Calphalon

We have the professional hard anondized (sp?
cookware.
Rob had been collecting a piece or 2 b4 our engagement
since he loves to cook. So we registered for
the pieces he did not have & that we could use everyday.

Nicely weighted pots..much better than my Faberware.
I would recommend registering for these pots..some can be
costly- so maybe 2 people can purchase one item.
Also would recommend getting the NON STICK omelette pan.

Happy registry!

Love my All-Clad....

I've used it for several years - have some of the black anodized finish and the stainless. They all get hand washed, since I don't have a dishwasher and they look almost like new. I think they recommend not putting the black in the dishwasher.

Since the larger stock pots can get really pricy ($300) I registered for some large stock pots from Macy's Tools of the Trade - Belique collection. They have a similar solid-core bottom to prevent scorching and so far I've been happy with the large pot but the small 1 qt. sauce pan gets very hot on the handle and I can't grab it without a potholder, something I don't generally need on my All-Clad 1 qt. pots.

Calphalon

I also have the Calphalon hard anondized non-stick set, and love it! I haven't burned, scorched, or destroyed any of the pieces yet, and if you had any idea how I cook, you'd know that that says a lot about the quality! : )
