I want a dog SO BADLY but we both have allergies so we're looking into morkies and schnoodles (supposedly shed less). Does anyone have one of these breeds AND allergies? How's that working for ya?

Ive never heard of a Morkie Is that a Maltese and Yorkie mix?? Any ways...I have a purebreed Yorkie and a Purebreed Toy Poodle and yes..they do not shed. They're great dogs for those with allergies. HTH Im sure those mixed breeds are good also..those are dogs who are known for not shedding

my DH has terrible allergies which is why we got a havanese. She is not 'shedless' no dogs really are, there is no such thing. I find her hairs around the house but it's not as much shedding as if she was a dog with fur. Apparently people are allergic to the saliva of the pet and not the actual hair. DH is usually fine around ollie but sometimes if he plays with her too long he'll get a little rash but nothing that a little rinsing of the arm won't take care of. I recommend you visit someone's house who has a hypoallergenic dog and see how both of your allergies handle it. Also, it's important that you go to a reputable breeder because a lot of dog sellers will lie on the dog's papers and the dog could very well be mixed with a breed you or your DH are allergic to. My DH is very allergic to cats and dogs, we have a yorkie and he has never had any issues, if he plays with other dogs that shed, his eyes well up and he gets severe allergic reaction

I'm not familiar with those breeds, but I have a purebred Cairn Terrier. They're a small breed (between 15-20lbs when full grown) and they don't shed. I never find his hair anywhere in the house, if that's what you're worried about. Either way, I'd suggest doing a lot of research before bringing a dog into the house, just to make sure. It took me FOREVER to decide which breed I wanted. lol.

My DH is allergic to both cats and dogs. We have a Maltipoo, he doesn't have any allergic reaction to him at all. Plus it doesn't shed. I never find his hair around the house, but you might find hair on you when you comb him out.
