My BFF is currently on suspension from her job of 7 months due to reasons that are completely ridiculous and not very professional (in our opinion). They think she'll be back to work October 28 or whatever date (they aren't counting the Jewish holidays as part of her suspension since she had those approved months ago). She plans to use these next 11 days to search hard core!!!
Her current job is as a Social Worker for a Psychiatric Hospital. She adores it, but clearly it is not meant to be. She loves doing in-takes, so even a position as an In-Take Coordinator would be great! She's making 50k right now though, so that is definitely where she needs to be.
If anyone can help, I (and she) would GREATLY appreciate it!!!

She lives in Hicksville, but yes, I think she's willing to travel - I mean, not like a 2-hour commute everyday but she has worked in Queens before, and also worked out East.

hmm... well - its hard to find a job that pays 50k on the island. my previous job pays around that but it was not your everyday 9-5 fluffy social work job... i did in home family therapy in queens.... so my schedule was ALWAYS changing depending on when the families could meet with me. i'm pretty sure they have an opening for another therapist - i'd be glad to pass along the info, but if shes not looking for something so invovled, then its def not for her.
there are always places hiring... but if she really needs to be making 50k or more - thats tough!!
