Any teachers recently file for permanent certification?

I got an error message on the NYS teacher website that said I need my school to fill out a student profile???

Ever heard of this?? Why is there always a problem when dealing with the state?

Thanks

ETA: I still fall under the old rules. I am certified Pre K-6.

I did and didn't have that problem... i did it all on-line and had it within 6 weeks.

However, it may be that whstever school you got your Masters from (which you need for the permanent certification) did not report you to the state. they are supposed to endorse you for certification through the state. or perhaps they do not have your Masters transcripts on file?

Not sure... good luck!

Yes, when I called the state they said all I needed to do was send them my transcipts when apply online.

I hope that is all it is. Thanks for the info!

the video part is the biggest pain in the ***. as long as you've taken the CST also, you're DONE! just apply on-line, make sure you have your Masters transcript filed with them and 2 years teaching experience. DONE!
