Re: Anybody else reading...
I commute 2 hours everday to NYC so I read a lot now.
Here are some of my best finds: The Red Tent (one of my all-time favorites) Girl with Pearl Earring (great read, not too heavy but very, very interesting) Memoir of a Geisha (Wow. Talk about learning about a world none of us knows about. You really get into this different way of life and its impact on women) The Lovely Bones (sad, but what a great read!)
There is also a great book called The Friendship Cake that I really, really enjoyed reading. I even gave it to Claud as a gift. It is all about what bonds friends have and how we help one other thru the hard times.
I love books that do not end the way you want them to or think they 'should'. I don't read a lot of romance novels. Occasionaly I read a 'Lifetime' movie or 'Oprah' book. 'The Pact' was pretty interesting and I finished it in a few days.

Re: Anybody else reading...
Ladies could you please copy and paste these in the favorite book thread so that we can have all the suggested readings all in one spot? I cannot seem to find the suggestions when I need to find another good book.
Thanks

Michele thats some commute. Are you out on LI? I take the Ronkonkoma line and my ride is just over an hour and I thought that was bad!

Re: Anybody else reading...
I am in Ronkonkoma but I count door to door for time. I leave my office building at 5pm and get inside my house at 6:45-7:00pm. My fiance works in Manhasset so we HOV to Hicksville train station, he drops me off and then he goes to work. It saves him almost 40 minutes. Plus I work near Wall Street so I go into Flatbush then take the 2-3 4 stops.
