DH and I are planning our one year anniversary trip there. We have gotten prices for 4 different hotels and I was looking to see if anyone had any experience at them and what you thought. The 4 we have priced out are

I went there on our honeymoon. we took a cruise and it stopped at cabo. The Dreams hotel is beautiful!!! I heard so many great things about that place!!

We went to cabo on our honeymoon - stayed at the one&only palmilla - incredible!!
Also went for a work event and stayed at the hilton los cabos - more price efficient than palmilla, and still beautiful. Just much bigger.

I went there for my honeymoon but didn't stay at any of those places. My advice would be to go on Trip Advisor and look for reviews. I remember Riu looked gorgeous but the reviews on Trip Advisor were not good at all...alot of room theft by hotel staff. We stayed at the Westin Resort & Spa and the Grand Mayan in San Jose. Both were incredible.

I went to the dreams resort and it was a nightmare! The grounds are pretty, but there are bugs everywhere (I know, it is the tropics, but this was as bad as when we stayed in a hut in the rain forest), food was terrible, drinks were terrible. DH got horrible food poisining and threw up for three straight days. Maybe others had a different experience, but there is NOTHING you do to make me go back there!

I'll look into those other hotels. Thank you for the recommendations. I have been looking at Trip Advisor and while it is helpful, it is only to a certain extent. I looked up my honeymoon hotel on there last night which was top notch and amazing for us and the experiences that people wrote about were just not what we experienced at all so I feel like you can only take that with a grain of salt. I guess it's all up to personal taste anyway.

Went there on our HM and stayed at Riu Palace and it was FABULOUS.. Cabo is amazing!!! The food was great, the drinks were yummy.. it was perfect..
FYI the beach at Riu is unswimmable bc of the currents.. most of the beaches in that area are unswimmable.. BUT if you go to Lover's Beach which you can take a boat there, it's awesome

You shoudl FM Ev she went to Cabo and stayed at Me by Melia and she had really good things to say about it as I recall.
