Miss the planning and the anticipation of your wedding day? (minus the stress of course!)
DH and I have been to two weddings since ours. Over the weekend, we were at my cousin's wedding and just before she walked down the aisle, I got such a pang of jealousy because I knew I would never have that 'moment' again.
It was like after we got engaged... after all these years of waiting for 'THE ONE' to come along and sweep me off my feet, it was the best feeling in the world, BUT a few months into the engagement, it hit me that I will never experience that again.
I know we have LOTS to look forward to, alot of firsts will come our way (first baby, etc...)
But still.... I just miss the planning and the excitement of our wedding day.

Re: Anyone else...
yeah once school is over in a week i have no idea what i'm going to do with all the time on my hands. between not having to plan or study i think i might actually have a chance to be bored. a girl at work just got engaged and i wish i could be her coordinator so that i can actually still plan

Re: Anyone else...
I do. After we got home from our honeymoon I was so sad that it was over, I kept telling DH that I wanted to get married again. But now since we picked up our proofs and are working on our album I've much better.

Re: Anyone else...
I miss the excitement of being a bride, but that's it! I don't miss the planning and I DEFINITELY do not miss spending all that money!

You are not alone. I certainly do. I get quite nostalgic. It only happens like that once in your life (hopefully). But, I am very much looking forward to the firsts in my new life with DH.

In some ways I am glad it is over. But I feel like I need a new project!

I have been married a while and I still miss it. I really enjoyed planning, I am having a great time helping my best friend plan her wedding now!

Re: Anyone else...
Not anymore, but I did miss it a great deal in the month or two following the wedding.
I think we had a lot of other changes happen since then (new job for me, family health issues, organizing our home), which kept us very busy, and that may have helped us get over this faster. I still miss it at times. We did most of our planning last winter, and now that it is wintry outside, that is reminding me of driving around, visiting spots, etc.
My suggestion is to take up an activity you did previously or that you have always wanted to do, or focus on building your home with DH. Things like that help, IMO.

Re: Anyone else...
So many brides feel this after their wedding. It is completely normal!
