Anyone else get a hard time about this site

So I was out last night and I made some comment about, one of my friends on LIW....

so my friends I was out with started giving me a hard time... you know its 2010, its time to let your wedding go

they don't get it, its not about the wedding anymore, its about the friends on here I love talking to.

it made me so frustrated

Luckily this isn't an issue for me, but once in awhile DH makes fun of me and I tell him the same thing. Until they're on here they just don't get it. Too bad, they're missing out!

Not everyone understand the friends that you make from here.

I haven't heard it like that and my close group of friends and some of them have met some of the girls that I still hang out with WEEKLY from here.

There are about 15 girls that I see a few times a month and talk to DAILY from here. Don't worry about an off hand comment about someone who doesn't understand this site, or the friends that you have made.

A few friends wanted to do a girls night tonight, but I told them straight out that I have a night planned with the LIW girls, and they asked what we were doing, and were a little envious!

i get it oo sometimes from some friends..i think they just dont understand that people can become real friends on here

No ... DH would be a hypocrite because he goes on his own forums ... and I don't really share too much with my other friends because I never wanted them coming on here reading my posts! I think my MOH did from time to time but that's it.

DH likes to make fun of me for this. Until he wants to know something & then he asks me to come ask the 'girls'. Lol. I don't let it bother me. Without you ladies my wedding would have been a hot mess. Now the ladies on LIF pregnancy boards are so helpful. I would have no idea what to register for without them.

lol i dont usually talk about how im stilll obsessed with this site to my friends because they dont get it and think im nuts!! they thought it was nuts how obsessed before my wedding too

Dh knows and i think he is starting to understand why im obsessed but i still get everytime i grab my computer from him 'you going on LIW's to talk to the girls' lol

DH makes fun of me all the time. Especially when I talk about things that are going on here, like who's pregnant and stuff. He doesn't get it lol.

DH makes fun of me too.. Every time I say 'I read online that blah blah blah' He is like 'You mean, you read it on LIW???' with a dumb smirk... More than half the time he is right though!

DH doesn't give me a hard time, he gets it I think, especially since I am home so much, its more the girls if I mention it, like when I told them i had plans the day of the last GTG or last night i said something about our luncheon.

Meanwhile my friend who was giving me a hard time last night is practically crying over her wedding photos, if she had come on it could have saved her some heartache.

I know one close friend of yours who gives me a HUGELY hard time over it (more teasing then anything, but a hard time non the less.) She thinks we are both crazy for still coming on here after our weddings. You know who I am talking about. I keep trying to explain to her why we are on here. But she always finds something to tease me about. Better this then that time in DC...

Sadly I dont have too many close friends. I have a best friend on LI that b/c of her schedule & kids I only get to talk to 1-2 times a month, and my other friend who lives down in MD. I have since stopped talking to my MOH since Nov. who lives up by me. So I get ribbed about it alot by DH - but playfully so.

I have 4 close friends and I don't really talk about LIW with any of them. DH laughs at me sometimes but always in a joking manner. He's probably glad I have you ladies and this site cause it kept me from torturing him during the wedding planning!

I know what you mean and your right, she should love it. I told her that.

Its Christy who hates her pics. She is super upset, but she didn't do research for her wedding much at all. Thank god she has my dad's photos.

I am so sorry to hear this, if you lived down here we could have been close friends. We could have hung out all the time while everyone else was working.

I don't really talk about LIW with any of my friends.....is that weird? LOL
DH still giggles that I come on LIW but he knows I like it and that there are a lot of great girls on here. He calls you girls my 'internet friends'..LOL!
