Anyone else gets really upset when watching their wedding video?

I watched it last night and realized that i hate the way that I looked and that my hair was a mess by the end of the night, even though Jennifer from fairytales said it will hold all night!

I would have done so many things differently if I had the chance!

I am upset!

We are our own worst critics, don't be so hard on your self

By the end of the night, I was tired, pale, no lipstick (forgot to touch up) and my hair was starting to look stringy.

But I had a huge smile on my face, I was dancing with my brand new husband, surrounded by the people I love most in the world. It was just wonderful.

I didn't get a video...but I can tell you that I do feel that way about my dress in some of my photo's.

My dress was so intricate and detailed...there was all this beautiful lace and beading and in the pictures (to me) it looks just like an ivory sack on my body....



I get so upset when I look at them....I just wish the texture and details of my dress showed up in my pics!

I got upset, that I looked so fat! I had to keep reminding myself that I was swollen and that I had just gotten diagnosised with my thyroid condition. But seeing how huge I looked after I worked so hard to lose weight killed me but I can't change it and that is that! Everything else I loved! They missed one shot on video, that I wish that they had gotten but that is truly it!

so true. We are our worst critics.
I just recently got my proofs back and my 'uncut' version of my video. I was so happy with everything that I planned. The only thing that is so horrible is the 'techno music' in the backround the whole reception. I specifically asked for that music not to be played-oh well.


Thank goodness that we can edit that out. Other than that everything was perfect.

I havent seen my actual video yet, did see a part of my raw footage and I coudl hardly watch myself. Now the day of, I FELT beautiful, but watching myself on the tv..I wasnt liking how I looked at all. I know I am my toughest critic and I hate that..I think I have a disorder, I hate all of my wedding pictures and the same thing with my dress, it was very detailed yet none of it showed up in my pictures..I dont know how Ill ever display pictures on my wall..its sad. But I stll cant wait to have the video, especially the edited one..it will be wonderful to have!!

I love watching our video. It makes me cry everytime. I do think how I wish we would have spent more on the video though (every time I watch it). It was the one thing we didn't want to spend a lot on (we originally weren't going to get one). It came out nice but I know if we would have used Wild Rose or Bellarino it would have been much better.

We're just happy we got one at all.

I absolutely love my video. It is the best money we spent that day.

But, things that get me upset about the wedding that appear on the video drive me nuts. My dance with my father, listening to the friggin REPLACEMENT male lead singer warble 'Unforgettable' like he was having a root canal while singing, makes me cringe and choke up. I did not hear it that way the day of our wedding because I was on such a cloud, but listening to it on the video is just horrifying. Ugh what my guests must have thought! Also, seeing how long my band milked the Hora and Tarantella, about 20 minutes!!!! A whole set was spent on traditional dances with no guidance from the band leader (oh wait, the band leader didn't show up I forgot!) LOL.

So, yes, there are things that get me crazy about the wedding that are on my video, but that is what fast foward (or in my case skip) is for! And, I also see what made my wedding wonderful too.

I love my video. The only tears I have when I watch it is the emotion of that day and how watching the video brings me back to the day that I waited my whole life for.

I had a problem with my hair too. You could see it in the church. I wish I had done a full hair trial, but believe it or not, never thought to. I had the girl put it up in clips to how I wanted it for my trial. She did come back to fix it before the cocktail hour, so I was happy with it for the rest of my wedding. I wouldnt of used her though. I was in my friends wedding 7 months after mine and was so happy with the job the girl did on my hair. Wish I knew to use her.

i have only seen my raw footage so far and the work it self is beautiful but i too hated the way i look. i always look 50 pounds heavier in pictures and i hated my hair!!! i also wore stay on all day lipstick that disapeared by the end of the night. the worst is hearing the songs i didnt pick and would never play on my stereo let alone my wedding. i agree with alicia im dreading hanging pics up!!!!. also mom picked out my dress and i HATED IT!!!!!! even said lol so your not alone anya

when i watched mine, i liked it for the most part but there is one part where the video people ask me when i am waiting in the limo to go into the church for the ceremony what do I think Tom (my DH) is doing right now?

And I answer in my full Queens girl born and raised 'Probably smokin' a cigarette'! my accent sneaks up on me sometimes.

I also noticed that by the end of the night my hair seemed droopy but after a busy day like that, its to be expected and it happened to be super humid on my wedding day.
