...do you feel very overwhelmed. Hubby and I are still getting furniture, cleaning etc. for our new home. I feel like all we do is work on this house. We do have some down time together, lik egoing to lunch together since we work near each other.
Does anyone feel like just not giving it 100% sometimes? I feel like i will let hubby down if i dont.

I know what you mean... I thought things would really settle down after the wedding. We'll be in our house for 1 year next month and it always seems like it's something. I'm so focused right now on getting our house in order (was on the back burner with all the wedding planning last year) that I feel like DH and I don't spend any quality time together. Part of my 'issue' is, is that we want to TTC this fall/winter and I feel I need to have the house looking and feeling like a home before I can even begin to think about TTC.

YES!!!
DH is so involved in making our house perfect and I work until 7 and then go to the gym, we NEVER spend time together!!!!
For the 4th of July, we both had the Monday and Tuesday off so we went upstate to my parents lake house.....he wanted to come home early to work on the house......um HELLOOOOOOO, we are both off, do it later!!!!!
We both feel like we are neglecting each other a little, but now's the time to work!!!!

MY DH is the same way. All he cares about is this darn house i feel like that is all we ever talk about. Things should get better soon I hope. I want to TTC this fall also so everything has to be in order.

Of course but I kinda expected it! DH started a new job in January & he is putting his all into so that eventually down the line, I can be a SAHM (when kids arrive). We NEVER eat dinner together unless it is with our families on the weekends!
Since he works late, I am always the one cutting the grass, maintaining the outside/inside of the house plus doing my daily work routine!!! DH & I usually cross paths when we get in bed at night

Well, if you have to cross paths, that's a GOOD place to do it!
We have definitely been going full-steam on home repairs/decorating since we got married. We have been adjusting to married life and to eachother (since we never lived close before!) and it's all a whirlwind sometimes.
I think you need a DATE NIGHT!

SOME DOwn time is what everyoneneeds some times its ok the 2 of you just need a night out on the town then to relax the next day
