DH and I are thinking about going in April....probably the Riviera Maya/Cancun area.
Any hotel recomendations?

I've only been to Puerto Vallarta and I personally would NEVER recommend it. But I would LOVE to go to the Cancun side!!! I think that Tara (gettinhutched) is in the Myan Riveria right now!!!!!!

I have, but not cancun. I went to the western end. I also do not recommend Peuto Vallarta!

we did....we stayed at Secrets Capri and loved it. The beach isn't so great, but the pool area with swim up bar was fab....food was pretty good too. If you have any other quest. FM for details...HTH

We went to Riviera Maya on our HM and stayed at Grand Palladium and Excellence Riviera Maya.
Depsite everyone drooling over Excellence, we were unimpressed.

We stayed in Riviera Maya at Secrets Excellence, Absolutley Loved it!!!! I highly recommend. I have pics in my album.

We went to Cancun a few years back. It was fun, but I dont know if i'd go back again. It was nothing special.
I'd recommend Cost Maya over cancun. Much nicer.

the Riu hotels are great. they are in cancun and playa del carmen and some other parts of mexico
