Anyone have a contractor that they would recommend?
We are now going to Plan B. Plan A was to sell & move, but it was not working out & was getting way too stressful. So now we're going to look into doing the necessary improvements to hold us over until after the baby comes. We'll talk about selling again next year.
I'd like to start calling around for some estimates ... if anyone has someone that they would recommend I'd love to give them a call!

My FIL and BIL are both contractors...let me know and I can FM the information to you. They are both local too...

We have a garage that we'd like to turn into living space. I don't know if it would be the living room or the dining room. It would also have to be extended to the front and/or the back to give us enough space for a laundry room/ half bath. We also have to run the plumbing so we'd get a washer/dryer hookup back there.
We'd also need to update the kitchen ... we need a dishwasher & more cabinets.
I dred the thought of doing all of this work ... especially with being pregnant, but it HAS to be done at this point, so I have no choice. We're hoping that it will improve the value of the house somewhat.

Christine, I just had my kitchen and master bath completely renovated and would recommend my contractor highly. He does fantastic work and both DH and myself were thrilled with the outcome. I will FM you his info.
