anyone have an amex?

most but not all of them do. I have one through BofA and it's great because I get points. I don't think I pay an annual fee....

i feel like amex does because of the rewards/earning miles etc. But I would call to be sure because I just looked up mine and though it says no where about a fee, that could also be because it's through my bank. through the airlines might be different.

I have the gold Amex - I think there is a $75/yr fee for it but so far it is worth it.

In 7 months we racked up almost enough points to both fly to Antigua for free! We had to advance some points and used a few skymiles points but overall we had almost enough. Tickets were priced at $600 each and we only had to spend $150 out of pocket to transfer the points and pay the tax but that was a big break and could have spent $1200 out of pocket you know.

My biggest advice...and this may or may not apply to you but it applies to my card. We had xxx amount of points and could have booked through amex directly. However we transfered our points to Delta Skymiles and booked through there and it was much less points then using Amex travel (if that makes sense). Just a hint!

I have the regular amex blue and love it- I've had it since college when it first came out

absolutely love it- and the interest rate on it is great right now compared to my other card- its at 9.99%. There is no fee for this card.

People have been telling me to get the jetblue amex so my $$ goes towards airfare which sounds great but on doing some research it looks like amex charges an annual fee just to have their credit card??? Am I reading that correctly, do they really have a fee?

I have an amex card with membership rewards. I pay an annual fee, plus I pay $40 extra for the membership rewards program. Since I use my card like cash, I do rack up points that I can convert to milage, gift cards, etc.
DH has the Jet Blue Amex and it has a higher fee than the regular card, plus you really have to charge A LOT to get enough Blue points to redeem for a ticket.

I had that one too and I loved it. I don't think they charge a fee, and I think they do points. I don't know if it's for frequent flyers though.

I wound up closing the card b/c they started to up my APR and it just got so ridiculous.

1 is the Clear and I use it for personal expenses. I get 1% back so for every 2500 I spend, I get a 25 AX giftcard in the mail. No yearly fee

I also have the Business Platinum which carries a $450 annual fee. The only reason that I have this card is bc I travel a TON and it gets you into all of the airline clubs for free. Also, there is no limit so I use it strictly for business.

Same here, but my Platinum was opened for our HM flight. We try to use it sparingly because there is no limit and that is just one scary credit card bill!
