Anyone have any furry children?

Just bored at home and figured I'd post a question -
Just wondering if anyone has adopted any furry children since they married?
We've had ours for 3 years now -
a small white Peke named Dolly - I saw Opera today and there was a girl on it that had a dog and she was asking if she was crazy b/c (of how she treated the dog) well me and my husband are both nuts... we treat her like our baby - well we don't have any children yet and to us (she is)
Anyone else crazy?

We also have a fur baby...

We got him after Sept. 11th to keep me company, and now I can't remember how we ever got along without him! His name is Arnold (Arnie Baby), and he's a tiny toy poodle (only 4.5 pounds).

You are not alone, Junebride, because we also treat our dog like a baby. He sleeps with us under the covers at night, and people think we are nuts! Even when we do have children (ones with skin, not fur) Arnold will always be our first baby. : )
It's nice to know there are other doggy parents out there!

We are getting our puppy April 9th! I am so excited I can't wait! Seeing your post made me even more anxious!

Just adopted a new one!

ROb was looking up pet websites and found a very interesting/social brred of cat: Ocicats.
They have spots like a leopard!

FOund a whole bunch of bredders, bought some books on them,etc...and on the return from a biz trip to Las Vegas we came home with a little girl!!!

ROb has been realyl taken by her...and we had to medicate her eye since she had a little bit of a discharge...so he says it is good training for when he becomes a dad. ( sounds pitiful, huh?)

We have a bird...

A Senegal parrot named Sage. I made fun of my husband when he got him (when we were dating), but now he is our baby! Who knew that birds were so much fun? He is spoiled rotten. I sound like a dork...lol.

Two kitties

We have 2 calicos, Max & Reece. I had them both before I even knew my hubby so...they`ve actually adopted him. Reece is now known as Derek`s baby because she has taken a real liking to him. They are treated royally. He has decided that I will be the one spoiling the children because of how I spoil the cats. My theory is that the cats don`t have to grow up and eventually get a job and be independent so it cannot be compared to children. We want to get a beagle but will wait till we have more room.

We have a tank full of fish...does that count?? LOL

my husband and I treat our fish like our children!! LOL...I come home at night and talk to them. MY husband laughs at me but I think that they know when Im home! :)
