Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

I have them- and I really love them. I have a lot of different colors (cobalt, periwinkle, sunflower yellow, shamrock green, cinnamon, and purple). They come out with new colors every few years so I only have 9 place settings right now. They hold up really well and they look really cute on the table when you mix and match them.

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

I think they're okay. At one point when we were shopping for china I thought about getting them. However, Macy's, JC Penney stores never carries a full stock or a full complete set. We need at least a set of 5 complete place settings that includes: plate, salad plate, bowl, tea cup, and saucer. I think that they're also so heavy and even heavier with food on them. I'm a very petite person with small hands and don't like heavy china/dishes. Isn't Fiestaware dishes stoneware material?

That's my experience and thoughts. Overall, I think they're okay and would be nice to match or mix colors. I prefer matching patterns and matching colors.

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

Fortunoff and BBB have great stock in Fiestaware

Plus it is really durable! I have some now and dropped a plate - that should have broken but didn't. Great for the clumsy cook like myself!

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

I have a few older ones. Dessert plates, and a little milk pitcher. The colors were a lot different then. I am not crazy about the newer ones.

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

I also like that you can collect the older pieces too- I am the type of person that doesn't like patterns.

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

The espana is exactly what Im looking for. Anyone know if they are normal sized plates or the oversized variety? I got all the pottery barn ones at my shower only to have to return them all b/c they dont fit in regular size cubbards!

Edited to add: These are even bigger than the pottery barn ones. Grrrr!!!

Re: Anyone have Fiestaware dishes?

The Espana are HUGE. To big for a lot of cabinetry to even fit! The bowls are serving bowl size, and the salad plates are dinner plate size. I loved them to death, but they were overwhelmingly big for me.
