Sorry, never heard of this. Everyone I know wears their ring all the time. I would seek a second opinion from another jeweler.

Yes, I have my dh's grandmother's antique wedding band and ering. They are both platinum and the wedding band is very small and fragile and I have lost diamonds before. I didn't wear it for a while either, but I wear it now and I am really careful with it. Worse comes to worse, I have to continue to replace them , but I love it so much. I bought another wedding band before the wedding just incase. I wear both of them and my ering. If something happens to the wedding band down the line, I have another wedding band.
