Re: anyone hear from kerri??

Hey guys!! I here!!

I got home like 2:30/3 ish. took a valium and went to sleep. Well I did eat a sliced apple before I fell asleep.

I have some pretty bad cramps. But overall I'm OK. John is being AMAZING!!! Allegra and Juliet are going to stop by too.

It went pretty well I think... I mean I was knocked out for the whole thing really. walking into the O.R. was the worst part. i've never had an operation and I'm a huge baby when it comes to that stuff..... but walking in was scary. The room is cold and FULL of instruments and a scary looking bed that i was strapped into. Strapped at my arms and waist. Once they gave me the oxygen mask I was only awake for a little bit. I couldn't wait to be knocked out. I was shaking sooo bad on the table that one of the ladies asked if I was cold!! haha... i was like no.... I'm scared!!!!! I was like a leaf. Did I mention what a baby I am???

After the ordeal I sat there and was just really sad about the whole thing. Just because it's not how it was supposed to turn out. So I cried a little bit. I'll probably always be sad over it. But I we will both be able to move on and try again really soon. I'm sooo glad that John is the guy i married. he's been perfect at taking care of me.... and he's also a very positive person. He's like... OK it didn't work out this time and that *****.... but we can and will try again and it will be just fine. It's SOO nice to have that type of support around. I've def dated guys (who were more like girls) who would have been screaming and crying and upset and just dramatic. I can't imagine having that as a support system now.

I DEF have HEAVY cramping going on. More than what I thought..... or more than they told me it would be.

they told me to take TYLENOL!! no rx. I'm SOO not a tylenol girl.... those meds don't do anything for me. I'm not a pill popper or anything close to that..... but it def takes more than what the average person would take to have the same results. I have some other pills. I took 1 today and it def worked. tylenol is a joke to me. with these cramps it's for sure a joke too.
Last time I was put to sleep they kept saying.... up it.. up it... up it... because I wasn't falling asleep for anything. haha.

we are planning a mini trip to Vermont to stay in a cabin. Ive never been to vermont and we both took off the last week of Feb. I can't wait for that. Hopefully I will be cleared by then!!!!

Kerri where did u go? I only had a bed where you put your legs into the straps thats it.They put the anthesticia through my hand no mask. I went to Garden City Women's Health Center. Well in any case im so happy all went well. Im sorry you are having bad cramps ( i didnt have any) but my firends say they will go away by the evening. So i hoep yours do. I hope you at least feel a little better knowing that that part is over. Of course you will always have emotional times. I know i di here & there. You're allowed too. Its hard & very upsetting. But thankfully you are healthy & strong & soon be able to try again. Also i didnt bleed very much after the procedure which is ok. But i did one day have a few clots & thats totally normal. So if that happens dont freak. I just jumped into the shower right away. But everyone heals different so u may not have that at all. xoxo Feel great & rest up.

thank you for all that info.

they didn't tell me anything about clots or any of that.

I was in North Shore LIJ hospital. I had a numbing thing in my arm and a mask on my face. Then when i woke up I had the nose tube thing on me. I was shaking uncontrollably when I woke up and they had to put a tube thing by the blanket to blow air in. Which oddly seems to stop the shaking. I remember them saying the shaking was normal. I never shook like that before.... not even when I was so nervous before the procedure and shaking on the table. It was weird. but it stopped. then my bp was off an low...but OK.

Oh Kerri glad you made it through ok. Everything you described is very normal. many times you wake up cold....I was freezing after my first D & C but the 2nd I was fine. ANd I had clots too so dont freak cause no one told me to expect it and I freaked a bit. The cramping should let up a lot after today but take it easy tomorrow too cause for one of mine I was up shopping the next day with my mom and paid for it for a few days....if you take it easy it you will heal better.....

Hugs and if you have any questions over the next few days feel free to FM...I had 2 of them and both were very different experiences.

Clots and BIG clots are totally normal and it may be very heavy bleeding for days. Make sure you eat iron-rich foods.
