Anyone hosting a Holiday this year or wants to as a married couple?

I want to have thanksgiving this year at my house now that DH and I have the room! but my MIL is being a brat about it SHE needs to host all the holidays! well not this year!! lol

not yet, we only have two rooms!! but i cant wait to host atleast one holiday dinner!!

Yeah I like going to mom's and then coming home with leftovers

We host Halloween...does that count as a holiday ??

Yes! We are hosting Thanksgiving. Our families already know. I am very excited b/c I love hosting!

I wish i could.. but we don't have enough room.. one day i will fight MIL over thanksgiving.. i can cook 100X better than she can..

I have been hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve since my mother passed away.

I think that this year....we will just do Thanksgiving.
My sister offered to do Christmas this year

I want to have Thanksgiving in my house. DH says NO because our dining room is small. We can always set up tables in the living room like my grandparents did, but he says no :( I will probably have christmas eve if his mother decides to come otherwise its just the two of us (b/c I am jewish)!

I agree lol atleast for the first year we're married. I'll probably host Christmas Day or New Year's Day next year

LOL! Funny you brought this up because DH and I were just talking about it.
DH's parents thought that it would be a nice idea for us to start a tradition of hosting a holiday. They also recommended that it be Thanksgiving. So we did. Last year we hosted our first annual Thanksgiving supper.
Last weekend DH's parents said that they decided to go to Mass for Thanksgiving this year so they won't be joining us....
We did this for them and now they won't be joining us??!?!?!?!? Just a little insulted
