I won a free 3 month membership to a Ninjitsu school at a Duck's Game last summer. My first class is tomorrow evening and they said I can bring a friend, so my sister is coming (she actually has a free 1 month membership).
I was just wondering what I should expect. Is it like karate? I'm nervous...I'm a clutz and don't want to make a fool of myself.

I have been taking Tae Kwon Do for years...here's what I tell all the newbies that come in...we all started out where you are...and the only difference between you & i is that i have more training...in my school we have a great group of people...no egos...and we are all there to help each other, especially the new guys...i haven't experienced that everywhere though,,,which is why i drive from the Hamptons to Lynbrook for class...
I know it's hard not to be self conscious in your first few classes...but try to just relax and enjoy it...i LOVE it...it's great exercise & you learn how to defend yourself...not really sure what the place you are going to will do...have fun!!!!
