Maybe a good sushi place or really any place that anyone can recommend? My friend just moved there and I thought I'd get a gift certificate for a local restaurant for them. Also, what would be a good $$ amount for 2 adults? Thanks.
There's a really nice Runyan's in Merrick...they have a range of pub-style and American cuisine, casual atmosphere and good service.
I think $50-75 is a good range for two adults. In the very least, it will cover the majority of their bill, unless they order more than one drink each. But, the thought is what counts, and I am sure they will appreciate it!!!

We had our *rehearsal* dinner there, too! I also think that $50 is fine and $75 is more than enough!!

If you want a really nice resturant.. there is an Italian rest in the Jones Beach Hotel in I really can not remember the name, but that is really nice
I appreciate the ideas very much. I couldnt decide what to get them but I think a free night out to dinner will be great now that they have mortgage payments and all those other start up expenses going on :o)
