Anyone know an affordable mover?
Dh's aunt and uncle graciously gave us their 5 piece bedroom set (they're moving). The furniture seems to be good quality which means it's bot some weight to it. Dh has a back injury so I really don't want him moving furniture. If anything, we figured we'd rent a uhaul and try to get some friends to move the stuff from their house to ours. I've moved twice and know how much of a pita it is. I'd rather pay to have someone do it and all I have to worry about is where to tell them to put it. I think it's a 2-3 man job max. Can anyone recommend a moving service? I live in south east queens the furniture is in hempstead/uniondale.Thanks!

Re: Anyone know an affordable mover?
i just moved furniture, and for the small amount you have, i think you are better off looking in the classifieds in the paper for a 'man with a van'-type of thing.if you go with a moving company, just b/c of the time, i can easily see this costing $200-$300 dollars
of course, if that price is okay, then call a moving company. we used shleppers. they charge per hour
