I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. If it comes and goes it's most likely not appendicitis. Have you popped an antacid or gas x?

Yes, just letting you know Appendicitis comes on pretty quick and just gets worse....it won't come and go. I've had gas pains like that beforeI hope you feel better!
if its by the upper rib cage on the right i would be more concerned about the gall bladder. the appendix is on the lower right of the abdomen

Not that I recommend this but I was told to have it out 2 years ago . Its still there. Im a chicken. does it get worse when you eat?

thats funny you say that b/c yesterday i noticed that it did feel worse after i ate chinese food.
if it is an issue with my gall bladder...what causes this??

Its usually one of two things
1) a gall stone blocking the bile duct
or
2) the gall bladder isnt functioning at a good percent.
there are two ways to test it
a sonogram and a hyda scan
fats , greasy foods etc make it worse.
the sono isnt horribly exspensive. the hyda is a nuclear test and I am sure it is very exspensive. Do you have a primary car doc?

my guess is gas pains, but go get checked out anyway!
my appendix actually ruptured and it was very sharp pains like a knife stabbing you on your lower right abdomen, like an inch or so above where your underwear waistband would be
it also wont go away and will only get worse
if it doesnt go away go see a dr just to be safe, but my guess is gas pains
DH just had appendicitis and had it removed early August. It started at night with a bad stomach ache but it was all over his stomach, then he woke up around 2 AM feeling nauseous, and then threw up the rest of the morning til about 5. All the while he was having trouble walking. We didnt think about appendicitis because he didnt localize his pain to just the right lower side. It was appendicitis but the reason it wasnt hurting in the normal spots was because he had a rare condition where his appendix was all the way up behind his liver which was why his pain was all over his stomach. I think you should get it checked out. If an appendix ruptures it can be very very bad. I dont want to scare you but its not something you can just ignore and hope it goes away.
I absolutely agree you should get it checked out. When I said before that I need my gall bladder out but havent done it yet I have had Numerous tests etc....when its the adb it should always be checked out .
