while we were on the honeymoon we were watching tv and this show came on. did anyone see it??? its insane! I said to DH 'youre lucky i didnt see this show before the wedding!!' ha jk. $10,000 for lighting? $8,000 for napkin treatments?? get real!

I'm not sure if I saw that particular episode, but we watched in on Sunday, and the couple on that one spent $39,000 on furniture for the cocktail hour, and ordered food for 500 people even thought they had only 166 guests. (so wasteful!)
It was sickening.

I've seen it a few times, it's a series so there' s more than just the one episode you saw. Those ladies are crazy!!!!!!! If I had that much $$ I'd do something more worthwhile then blow it all like that!!!!!!! I mean, it's going to be the happiest day of your life regardless, there's no reason to go insane just to show off!!

what is a napkin treatment? Is that like....a napkin ring? Did it have diamonds on it or something? I've never heard of this..... oh yea...that is too funny about the lighting....almost every episode has lighting and curtain costs......like its a broadway show.

the girl the other night was like, 'Our initial budget was $300,000...but we've seemed to quickly have gone over that. (embarrassed giggles)'
it's sooooo disgusting and wasteful...with half the world starving....people without proper healthcare, etc....all the good that could have been done with all that money....
It's disgusting... but the show that really makes my stomach turn is 'My Super Sweet 16' I can't even watch it without going crazy. the misguided, spoiled, obnoxious brats on that show... it's unreal. and this is how they're being raised.... BLECH! i wish there was a throw-up icon I could put right here!!!!!

I agree! Super Sweet 16 makes me want to beat parents senseless! I cant believe the way some of them act towards there parents-I am 27 and if I even pretended to change my tone with my dad I would be in some deep doo doo to say the least. Ive watched Platinum weddings and yes they are very nice but really there should be a certain line that is considered going to far!
