Anyone seen something like this elsewhere? (Furniture)

Saw this in the PB catalog yesterday and loved it. But its too short for what I want it for.

Anyone see modular shelving like this (nice wood, molding, etc..) elsewhere?

I know they have stuff like it at Ikea but I want a better quality product than that.

My dad makes custom furniture- will make exactly that in real wood (oak, maple, etc) any color you want... way better than Pottery Barn and better quality... probably for around same price (if not a tad more)...

However, since I am not supposed to sell anything... if I am selling anythign I don't know what the rules are.. I only recommend him because his quality is excellent.

DH showed me the same picture just yesterday. We are planning on doing something similar on a wall in our family room. I also need something larger though. A few months back we had seen a lot of similar things we liked but can't remember which store - it was either Macy's home or Huffman Koos....

Have you tried Crate & Barrel or Restoration Hardware? Also you may find something similar at the all wood furniture stores, like Gothic Cabinet. I'm looking for shelves like that also, but in a black or dark, dark finish. Let me know if you find a good place please!

Stef...I do not think they have a store...well if they do...I dont think its around here. I have been getting their catalog for years and they have some beautiful stuff in there

You could give Gothic Cabinet a try. They have a ton of ready made bookcases that they will finish in a large varity of colors/stains. You can also finish them yourself. They also do custom work. I have bought a few pieces from them and they are well constructed and look great.

Fran: We have a few Gothic Cabinets around us and they dont have what we wanted. They can custom make it but Im trying to see how much a store bought piece would compare.

Wall Units and More. They are on Route 110, and Carle Place, and a few places in NJ. They have tons of stuff you can custom make or order stock..and have really good prices.

I'm going to second Fran's mention of Gothic Cabinets. They can create also anything you want. We have bought small bookcases and a dresser from their and it wasn't too expensive and they are great quality.

Ok I think I might be able to help--- the 5 piece unit we have in our living room has a open shelf option--here is a pic of what we have but keep in mind the 2 units next to the TV one could be open shelf units
Let me know if this is what you are looking for

It is really hard to see but all 5 pieces are seperate and the unit with the glass doors is very similar to the shelf unit
