I'm interested in booking my aunt's time share there and don't know anything about it.
TIA!

Re: Anyone stay at The Mayan Palace in Riviera Maya?
I haven't stayed there, but I did spend two weeks at the Mayan Palace on my HM- one week in Acapulco and one week in puerto Vallarta. If the one in the Riviera Maya is anything like the other two, you'll have a great time. The resorts are GORGEOUS!!! There are always a few restaurants to choose from and the grounds are always immaculately maintained. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Not there but we stayed at the Adventura Spa Palace. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Food is a little differnet so go there expecting that and you'll be fine. For example- their idea of a NY Steak is a little off. Stick to the chicken and fish. I don't think it was the resort probably was just most of Mexico. There translations of our food are a little off. BTW- Not to scare you but I just heard on the news the other day that the state department issued a warning for Americans not to go to Mexico due to increased gang violence. I can't imagine seeing any gang violence on the resorts- maybe if you traveled off the resort on your own.

Re: Anyone stay at The Mayan Palace in Riviera Maya?
YES, I DID!
We went twice and would go back again. I went to Mayan Acapulco last year for my 1 year anniversary. Acapulco was beautiful. You are closer to town so you don't have to stay within the hotel. A taxi ride can range from $10-30 dollars.
This year we went to the Mayan in Riveria Maya, which is off the beaten track of Cancun. It's about 30 miles away from Cancun.
This place was beautiful, the pools were huge, the food delicious and I loved the spa. I could go on. I also went as a time share guest, because believe me I couldn't afford it any other way. If you are not a time share owner its $450 night!
Everyone we talked to raved about Neuva Vallarta so that might be our next venture. I like Riveria because its a direct flight from NY, the other destinations you have to go to Houston, TX and transfer.
FM if you have any other questions.

We stayed at the Grand Mayan which is on the same premises and is the newer part. It was beautiful! I believe the rooms are bigger than the Mayan Palace part. We had our own little pool on the balcony. We were only 30 minutes from Cancun and maybe 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen, but it was our HM (so we never left the resort) and we just wanted to relax the whole time
ETA: Food was AMAZING, service was great, the whole place was beautiful! I would definitely recommend it!!

Yup you captured the place to a T!
OMGosh! Your room was so nice! We didn't have all that fancy pool and sitting area. We booked late so we didn't get a suite.
Your HM pictures are great! Wasn't the pool to die for! The food was so great! Ahhhhhhh!
I went away in June, it feels like a year already.
