complain about something?

couldn't bring a date? didn't like the dress? didn't like the hairstyles? didn't like the jewelry?

didn't think YOU did enough for THEM?

I still have bridal party members AND my own family complaining (or should I said passing little comments) about my wedding.

It's so frustrating cause we too paid for our own wedding... I just grin and bear it because they will all get theirs when they or their children get married. They'll see how hard it is and how you can never please everyone!

Just hang in there... Hopefully it'll get better with time.

1. either tell them to get over it, your sorry that they feel you didn't pay attention to them during YOUR wedding planning but you were busy with......let me think.....oh yeah.........YOUR OWN WEDDING!!!!!!!!

2. go overboard with the apologies. make a big huge stinkin' deal over how you 'neglected' her - tell everyone how bad you feel, tell her you'll take her shopping, new dress, jewelry, hair style, the works (hopefully she won't take you up on it) to 'make it alllllllll up to her' because...you know...it's really all about them during your wedding planning, right? (I would say that too and look really sincere. She might think your crazy and leave you alone!)

3. Ignore her. That always works too.

ETA: I can't beleive that people would have the gall to complain to the bride and groom about things from the wedding. I guess I'm lucky that I haven't heard anything like that. If anyone had the nerve to complain, I would look at them like they were mad. It's just so rude and beyond my comprehension to complain. I may not like something but I would never say it to anyone! I'm sorry you have to deal with this!

I completely understand. And I made sure I was generous and was not a bridezilla!!!!! I gave then gift certificates for massages, took them to lunch , gave them nice necklaces, picture frames, and a poem, made sure I did not get obsessed talking about the wedding with them, and every once in awhile I hear it... yup I understand. I try to shake it off, but it is hard.
