Anyone wed on the blizzard weekend in Dec 03?

I got married on 12/7. WE had a blizzard on 12/5-12/6. SO many things went wrong due to the weather. I am still having days that I get so upset about what the weather did to that weekend. The nightmare of my Dad almost not making it to NY from Florida amongst other things. Any other brides that got that married that weekend that can relate?

My shower was that weekend, that Sunday in fact, and about 15 people cancelled at the last minute. We still had a nice crowd, but it did out a damper on things. Hugs to u.

My sister's shower was originally Dec 6 but I had to reschedule it for Jan 3. I cried all morning.
I am so sorry that it snowed on your wedding day!

My girlfriend got married that Friday 12/5/03...60 people did not come to her wedding

I felt so bad, but she handled it like a troop

Thank you all. It was the one last time before I got married that I should have listened to my mom and not have planned my wedding in the winter! But we got engaged in Jan 03 and we wanted to tie the knot by the end of the year. I didnt want to wait till the next spring, I want to be pregnant by now.... but that is not working yet either. SO I guess I could have waited to have an April wedding. OH WELL....
