Not sure if this has been asked. Whether it's a month, 6 months or a year later, is there anyone you wish you just didn't bother inviting?
My boss (at the time). My DH actually is the one who talked me into it, saying it was the right thing to do, blah blah blah. Well, I break and invite the jack-hole. And what do I get? He doesn't even RSVP. I had to ask him several times if he was coming. Then he tells me, he's waiting to hear if this other thing he has is going to happen. UGH!

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
I regret that my DH did not listen to his mom and invited so many people from his family. An entire table (10-12 people) of his family cancelled on us a few days before the wedding and 4 of them did not show on the wedding day. His mom said that most of them are horrible, spiteful people and DH should've listened.
I also regret inviting two of my cousins - one cancelled the day before the wedding (I knew she would do that!) and the other I just never liked. Her son literally shattered the front door of our house the night before the wedding b/c he is a freakin animal that can't be controlled.

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
There are a few my mother regrets inviting due to the fact that they didn't show up and NEVER even called! Oh and one had the nerve to have someone else lie for her saying that she called...give me a break!

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
Actually i do, and I'm so mad about it...
The weekend before my wedding, I had some friends over to help with the favors and the programs. I had to go pick up my mother from the train, so i left the girls their. Well, it turns out that one of my 'friends' said to my BF that she thinks my fiance looks at her like he wants her. Well, she forgot to tell me until 2 weeks ago. (my wedding was in May). Before I found this out, i had invited my 'friend' over for drinks. She shows up in a skin tight white shirt, a mini skirt and high heels. Yeah, and you think my husband wants you! Then why would you wear that?
Anyway, we are no longer friends and I wish I had known this sooner, she would have been cut IMMEDIATELY!

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
There were 3 sets of couples who were totally on the fence - we weren't sure whether or not to invite them....well we did and they RSVP's yes and were no call no shows. Totally obnoxious that people think that is ok....and then we don't even get a phone call from them apologizing or even a card from them - so I regret inviting them.

There are a couple of people I regret inviting from FH's family. They never responded even after he called them numerous times. It was so annoying.

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
yes! 2 of my so called friends and i were having issues during my entire wedding planning process! 1 was my psycho ex-BM and i thought we had worked everything out and were cool even though you could feel some tension between us. so i thought i would be the bigger person and still invite the 2 of them to the wedding and all would be like it was. NOPE! they both RSVP'd 'no' to my wedding without so much as a phone call or a note explaining why! And they planned it so that the RSVPs would arrive on the same day! how childish can you be!!!
i dont regret anyone that CAME to the wedding. the people that REALLY love DH and I were there and that's all that matters!

Yes.... A friend of mine who claimed to have gotten in a car accident that day. Just found out that was a total lie. Her date pretty much flaked on her, so she was a no show. Needless to say I haven't called her since.

Me too! We only had one couple that didn't come and we knew all about it in advance (their baby arrived early...the day before our wedding!). The husband even actually came to the ceremony to wish us luck...Still can't believe how nice that was.
I wish I had invited a couple of other people, but I can't go back now, right?

YES!!! Four guest that RSVP yes and didn't come. They said they where sick, or so I heard. Yeah right!! One didn't even send the RSVP card back, he did a verbal RSVP. Other people too, but I won't mention who. I would of also changed my bridal party a little!! I do regret not inviting a few though

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
I regret inviting a few people who RSVP'd and didn't show up.
1 cousin - I spoke to her various times throughout the planning and she kept saying she was going. Her and husband were invited. She tells me shes taking a friend instead. I let her know to notify me if her plans change whether its last minute or not. I even spoke to her the week before the wedding. They never showed up or called. I still haven't heard from her.
Also, DH's sister-in-law. We had a hard enough time trying to find where she should sit. And she never shows up. We find out she was upset we never chose her daughter as a flower girl. Ugh!
I really regret not inviting others in their place.

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
I didn't want to invite my boss for a lot of good reasons and I'm still glad that I didn't.
I wish I could have not invited my one Aunt and her children. She's an attention hound drama-creating witch, the table her kids were at was empty immediately after dinner (with no goodbye), and one of her kids was a no-show, no-card, no-explination.
Other than that, there was one Aunt and Uncle that I wish could have come but she's been very sick. And one Aunt that came even though she had just finished her first week of chemo.
The good eggs in my family far outweigh the bad eggs. We consider ourselves lucky.

Re: Anyone you regret inviting?
yes all the flaky no-shows and i wish i had not allowed people to bring 'guests' because they replied they would be coming with one and then showed up alone and didn't give us a gift or even apologize for not telling us.
