we are trying to figure out something to do on July 4th with another couple, but we don't know where to go!
i was thinking maybe going out east for wine tasting or to the Hamptons for a nice dinner, but my DH said it might be too crowded.
any ideas?? are there going to be fireworks anywhere (now that the Jones Beach has been cancelled)?
Thanks!

Re: anything going on for July 4th??
I found something that looks like a lot of fun....AND I got the tics for 1/2 price..... Pier 83 on the west side of the city is having a 'rooftop party' with a DJ, drinks, dancing and a BBQ. You get a perfect view of the Hudson. It was $80 on the circleline website, but I got it for $40 through goldstar.com. Here is the link....
Go 4th on the Bay - Grucci Style (National Class) Place: Great South Bay, off Davis Park, Fire Island Website: www.captreefleet.com/pages/newfireworks.htm Details: The Gruccis will be producing this 1st ever public fireworks program on the 4th of July on our beautiful Great South Bay. Best and most spectacular viewing would be from the Captree Boats Davis Park, Fire Island, or your own boat. Good viewing, but remember from afar, is any shoreline from Smith Point to Bay Shore.
